Terms and Conditions (Tutor)
Tutor Eligibility
You should be a Singaporean citizen/Permanent resident or holds a valid student pass in order to register with us
You need to have a minimum qualification of at least an O’level pass and a minimum grade of B(in the subject that you are teaching) in order sign up as a tutor with us
Tutor Conduct
You should arrive punctually and inform the student in advance for any changes
You should ensure that all credentials given to Tutors Network are accurate and you will be liable for any disputes related to any wrong information given.
Tuition Rates
The tutor rates table given in www.tutorsnetwork.com.sg will be updated regularly according to market rate and should be used as a reference only.
Rates will differ according to assignment and tutor’s qualification.
Tutors Network reserve the right to change the rate at any point in time without notification to its tutors or students.
Place of tuition
By default, the lesson will be held in the student’s house unless otherwise agreed between Tutors Network, the client and the tutor
First Lesson
You are reminded to bring all your academic qualification on the first lesson for verification purposes
Cancellation of assignment
Receiving the address of the student will be considered as acceptance of the assignment
Upon acceptance of the tuiton assignment, you are required to complete at least one month of lessons
In the event that you cancel the tuition within one month, your tuition fees will be forfeited and you are required to pay the remaining tuition fees up to the end of the month.
The student may cancel your services at any lesson if they find your teaching methods ineffective or unsatisfactory
In any event that the client cancels the tuition before the end of first month, Tutors Network will collect the accumulated tuition fees from the client and you will receive half of the amount.
Commission
Tutors Network will collect 50% tuition fee for the first half of the 4/8 lessons agreed upon between the client and Tutors Network. The tutor will then receive the other 50% at the end of the 2nd half of the 4/8 lessons from the client. This rate is non-negotiable.
Tuition fee is calculated according to the number of lessons per month multiplied by the hourly rate stated for the assignment
You are not allowed to negotiate the tuition fees with the student on the first month without informing Tutors Network.

First Lesson
1.Tutors Network will inform the tutor to bring his/her qualifications for the first lesson. But it’s the client’s responsibility to verify that the tutor’s credentials are accurate and acceptable.
2.There are no trial lessons; the first lesson will be chargeable even if you are dissatisfied with the tutor.
Change of tutor
If for any reason you are not satisfied with the tutor, you can call Tutors Network at 81828644 for a change of tutor.
There will be no additional charge and you do not have to complete a fixed number of lessons before you are allowed to change a tutor.
Tutors Network, however does not have any obligation to find the new tutor within any stipulated timeframe after the cancellation
Payment
Tutors Network will collect 50% tuition fee at the end of the second lesson from you. The tutor will then receive the other 50% at the end of the month from you. This rate is fixed and non-negotiable.

The client is not allowed to negotiate the tuition fees with the tutor on the first month
Please inform us immediately if the tutor tries to negotiate to reduce or by-pass the tuition fees being paid to us.
Disputes
It is our belief that our role will not end after the second lesson.

Limitation of Liability
Tutors Network will not be liable for any damages made by its tutors during the assignment.
Exam Papers
Clients are allowed to receive 1 exam paper for every new assignment but it is subjected to availability at that point in time.
Subsequent exam papers can be purchased at $2 per set with answers (Min 5 sets per order). The exams paper will be delivered to your doorsteps without any additional charges.
